Geosurge has a cap of 30 characters, one character per player. If this cap is met, applications will be closed. In the event of dropping back below the cap, the mods will announce in the OOC comm as well as on this page when applications will open again.
We are currently at 14/30 players.
Please post your application to this page in its entirety, with Character name | Canon in the subject line. Be sure to write them as if for a canon blind audience. There is no minimum length requirement, as long as you cover important aspects of the character. Applications will be screened.
Geosurge is invite-only; potential players must have an invite to join, and current players are asked to clear their invitations with a mod.
Player
Name: Your name.
Contact: The best way to reach you.
Invite: Who invited you? This may be skipped if you're a current or past player.
Character
Name: Full name, in western order.
Canon: The full name of the canon; "none", if original.
Canon point: Please pick carefully, as this cannot be updated once the character is in game.
Age: Exact age if known, otherwise an approximation is fine.
Appearance: A link to an image.
Background: A link to an article is enough, if available. If the character is original, please provide a brief overview of the world they're from as well as their background.
Personality: Please describe the character's personality, including motivations, how they relate to others, and main traits. This can be between 2-5 paragraphs.
Canon abilities: A list of powers and skills they may have in canon, whether they're supernatural or ordinary. Please expand on any powers that warrant explanation to a canon blind audience. If their abilities are particularly strong or game-breaking, here is where we ask that you propose a reasonable limit, or explain why the character would not use them to obstruct gameplay.
Game power: Optional; you may pick a power that is granted to the character upon arrival. The power can be anything, with any limitations, rules, or downsides you'd like to include. The mods reserve the right to ask for any adjustments.
Suitability: If the character is under 18, will they be able to take care of themselves and cope with the dark themes of the game? What makes them able to do so? If the character is over 18, this can be skipped.
Inventory: Anything your character had on them at the time of their arrival.
Sample: Please provide a sample thread or network post. If linked, it can be from another game, a testdrive meme, or a musebox, as long as it is not an intro post. If you opt to write the sample instead, please write it set in game and as if the character had been there for some time already, rather than an intro.
